Sketches for paper sample book
Well here are 4 examples of the 8 that liz and I are thinking of (please go to liz’s page to view the other 4 ideas http://slumberless.wordpress.com/)
I tried to be as detailed as possible to make you understand my thinking….
But to briefly explain each sketch,
#1 is a hard cover with tabs inside describing each section
#2 is the company’s mark which will be the cover design and behind it will be a pull out spiral book
#3 Is pretty simple with the mark in the front (that is a flap) and inside the “box” is the saddle stitched book.
#4 has a die-cut cover revealing the company name with a white background and the cover being black. When you open the book you will see rectangles top and bottom of the name each being solid colors. And the spread is very basic with each LEFT page being a solid color and the RIGHT is the sample paper w/placement of an image and type.
Project #3 Idea
Liz and I decided to work on the paper sample company for this project. We came to an agreement and we decided to go with Thibierge & Comar, a renowned paper mill and manufacturer based in France. The quality of the Thibierge & Comar Collection is highly appreciated by Chanel, Dior, LVMH, Baccarat, Hermès, Cartier.

Comps for software
Well my comps are based on my #3 from my sketches… Now all four packages shown are the same layouts the only difference is the color and type setting….This is where I need your help
1. What color looks best?
2. What type setting looks better?
3. Is it too much/needs more?

AD PROCESS
1. This idea is still in process I like the swirls placed with the mosaic cyclist, but I do not know where to go from there.
2, 3, and 4: These are 3 series of ads what do you guys think?
5. This one is another idea I started to play with from my sketches… I started to add a glare on one of the mosaic tiles, what do you guys think is is the glare working? Needs work?

Here is the 2nd process of my logo for Barcelona….the 2 images seen here are of the famous Sagrada Family church
Numbers 1-5 also represent the famous flames for the Olympics. Numbers 6-10 and 14 represent the exact outline for the church and just different variations…and I am still playing with my type.
WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?

Well these are some of the examples for the Barcelona logo, images 1-5 and 9, and 10 are sketches of La Sagrada Familia building. On number 9 I was testing how is would look to just have the Olympic rings 1 solid color (red) and use my actual logo as the Olympic rings colors, am still debating on that. Images 11-14 are the gold, silver and bronze metals flipped upside down and placed on top of the Olympic rings. I am still playing with the type which type do you guys like best???
